Shelby Bond, Winnipeg Fringe favourite, is back with a new show – one that experiments with the definition of theatre, and casts this accomplished actor in a new role.

Instead of acting onstage, Bond directs the action from behind the scenes. Using a spotlight and a disembodied voice, Bond chooses audience members as actors and presents a romantic comedy with the audience as actors.

It is a unique idea, one which was embraced wholeheartedly by the enthusiastic audience. Bond is affable and treats his ‘actors’ with respect, easing their passage into their temporary career with humour and charm.

A thoroughly enjoyable hour, and a theatrical experiment which is well worth exploring.
